Sharon Crandall volunteered as a companion to the dying for ten years before becoming a volunteer for Prism Restorative Justice in the Los Angeles County Jail. As a volunteer in the jail Sharon facilitated worship services, taught Centering Prayer, and fell in love with chaplaincy. After walking the rows at Men's Central Jail for a couple of years, Sharon enrolled in her first unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) where she gradually began to unearth what was drawing her to places of deep suffering and loss for over a decade. Sharon found the work of CPE the most challenging and the most beautiful work of her life -- a journey that continues. She is passionate about sharing that journey with others.
