CFLC aims to expand the role of chaplaincy beyond traditional institutions by training and then placing chaplains in contexts such as food banks, community service centers, county jails, parish ministries, or similar settings where a chaplain’s supportive presence would be a benefit.
Very grateful for the lay chaplaincy training which has been very helpful and only wish I'd had this training a few years ago. Creating and working through case studies and learning from others case studies gave me new insight and helped move me from do no harm to helping others find answers they benefited from. Listening has never been a challenge for me, gentle probing never occurred to me; I am better able to serve others.
CPE has been a gift that must be shared; a tool to be used; a must-have for a better ministry; a key that have opened new doors of wisdom, self-awareness and strength to acknowledge my own weaknesses and shortcomings [in order] to better love and serve my neighbor regardless of their view of faith or beliefs. CPE helped me to reach in, [so that I could] better reach out.
